From refreshing a living room to finishing doors, frames and stairs, interior painting starts with the surface underneath. Danny Halsema assesses the existing finish and discusses the preparation needed before painting begins.
Preparation, colour and everyday use
Loose paint, damage and joints each need an appropriate approach. How a room is used matters too: a busy staircase needs a different finish from a ceiling. During the assessment we discuss appearance, sheen and maintenance. My previous experience managing a paint wholesaler helps me assess materials and coating systems.
What do we agree beforehand?
During a no-obligation assessment we discuss the surfaces, preparation, desired finish and schedule. You then receive a quotation for the agreed work. Surface condition and access matter, so I prefer advice based on your situation rather than a price without an assessment.

Can I stay at home during the work?
We discuss this beforehand. The order of work, access to rooms, protection of furniture and drying times determine what is practical. Please mention working from home or pets when you enquire.
